A lot of people still treat marketing as just another thing to check off their to-do list, and think of it as a one-off event here or a single project there.

In reality, you can’t do much in your marketing efforts without a serious, strategic approach.

It may be your website, newsletters, trade show events, blog posts, and social updates, but it needs to have a more intentional approach behind it.

How you use marketing to guide the customer through becoming aware of you, learning more about you, trusting you, sampling your expertise, getting more out of what they just bought and referring you is very significant.

That’s why every business owner needs to develop a strategic and process approach to marketing before moving onto things like blog posts, advertising and podcast that will populate your marketing calendar.
