How people buy has changed more than marketing
The biggest thing that’s changed for marketing is how people buy but with that being said your job as owners and CEOs of small businesses hasn’t fundamentally changed that much.
It’s just now you have to understand the customer journey specifically how people discover and find businesses, how they talk about them, and how they decide to buy from them.
That’s the part that I think has changed the most, because all the other tactics like email marketing, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and all the new things that have come along. Those are just different ways for people to to access and come to know about businesses.
But making a promise to solve someone’s problem and earning trust so they’ll give you money to solve that problem is a core principle that never changes.
