The Small Business Guide to Growth vs. Scaling
I’m in talks with a lot of owners and CEOs of small businesses who are looking to scale this year and thought this was a good time to share my thoughts on the difference.
Scaling is related to growth but it’s not the same thing.
A lot of owners and CEOs grow by getting more clients either through lead generation, mergers and acquisitions, but then can’t handle the work because they don’t have systems, assignments, and processes in place.
So, scaling is a way to build your business to handle workloads predictably, consistently, and profitably, without driving you crazy.
While growth is the acquisition of new clients, bigger fees, or enlarging scopes.
