Why you should be upgrading your marketing — periodically

Today I want to share with you a recent conversation I had last week.

I had the opportunity to speak with a business that had the 1st website in their industry within a targeted geographic area.

The owner mentioned how the company enjoyed domination for years (without changing much) in the search engines until other competitors caught on with modern websites and search engine optimization.

Now their website doesn’t show up on the first page of search results, revenue is down, they have noticed competitors seem to show up for coveted keywords and in the neighborhoods, they use to be prominent in.

We’ve been brought on board to do strategy and keyword research that will increase their website traffic, increase brand awareness and rev up sales and profits.

The important lesson here is you should periodically be upgrading your marketing based on your strategy. Failure to adapt whether it be business processes or marketing is the leading cause of going from first in your industry to last.
